Julia 秀英 Ngeow (she/her) is an award-winning Australian film director based in Brooklyn, New York, known for her powerful, empathetic storytelling that explores human vulnerability and interconnectedness. With a background in STEM, Julia holds a Bachelor’s in Biophysics/Neuroscience and formerly worked with the Australian Cancer Council investigating traditional Aboriginal medicinal plants. Her work often delve into the intersection of health, wellness, nature, and the blending of art and science. 

 

Julia's films have screened at Cannes Short Film Corner, SXSW Edu, and Slamdance, gaining global recognition. In the commercial space, her work has earned a Gold Clio for the Ad Council PSA She Can STEM and a Silver GEMA Award for brand integration.
