Nick Spooner is an award-winning director of commercials, short films, branded content, and more. Born in Boston and trained in L.A. and N.Y., he’s been in the film business since childhood—drawing his own boards, writing his treatments, and working crew jobs after high school. A former President of the Harvard Lampoon, he’s also written, produced, and directed at Comedy Central and once fronted an NYC-based humorcore band.

 

His dark comedy short The Call of Charlie played at 88 festivals in 12 countries, earning 45 awards including multiple Best Director and Best Short honors. His cartoons appear in The American Bystander, hailed by Newsweek as “America’s last great humor magazine” and by The New York Times as “essential reading for comedy nerds.”
